As Thanksgiving approaches, we think about the things we are most thankful for, which usually includes family and health. For pet owners, we are also thankful for our special little friends and their health. This Thanksgiving, join us in giving thanks “fur” our veterinarian heroes with a full week of Nat Geo WILD’s Vetsgiving on DisneyPlus! This super-sized serving of Vetsgiving returns on November 22nd and runs through November 28th.
Feast on four-hour helpings of the veterinarian shows you can’t get enough of, including Heartland Docs, DVM; Critter Fixers: County Vets; Hatcher Family Dairy; The Incredible Dr. Pol; Dr. Oakley, Yukon Vet; and Vets on the Beach. After your bellies are full on Thanksgiving evening, make sure you leave room for the tasty sneak peek of the new series, Pop Goes the Vet with Dr. Joya. You can catch this first look on November 25th, at 11/10c and again on Saturday, November 27, at 10/9c, in advance of its series premiere in spring 2022.
We had the opportunity to view this new series and hear a personal message from Dr. Joya Griffin herself. This mother of 3 and Dermatology Veterinarian from Kentucky sees it all! From impacted earwax to oozing cysts to massive hair loss, there’s no case too mysterious or bizarre for Dr. Joya and her talented team.
Veterinarians deserve recognition for the important role they take in caring for our pets. We are excited to celebrate them all week long this Vetsgiving as we snuggle up on the couch with our dog, Poppy. Poppy has had a couple of emergency situations herself, and we know the heartache and worry these patients go through. It’s so comforting to see the empathy, dedication, and devotion that these special people put into our pets.
This year’s VETSGIVING will provide an extra helping of fan-favorite veterinarian series each night beginning at 8/7c. The 2021 Vetsgiving lineup is as follows:
