Mom Bloggers for “American Veteran: Keep It Close” on PBS

PBS American Veteran Episode

To honor Veterans this week, I’ve been sharing episodes of American Veteran: Keep It Close on PBS Voices. I’ve seen a pattern in my posts since leaving a Broadcasting Career in Entertainment for the full-time job of raising my kids as a stay-at-home Mom: I naturally gravitate towards using Entertainment as a vehicle to teach, entertain, & connect with my kids.

On YouTube & other streaming outlets, I’ve discovered so many of the classic channels I love to watch. There are new formats for programming & easy access to the content. This week I’ve been sharing about PBS Digital on YT.

PBS Voices hosts a series called “American Veteran: Keep It Close”, with a new addition every other week until January 11, 2022.

Every episode of American Veteran: Keep It Close tells the story of a special object that helped a Veteran during deployment & beyond.

You’ve never seen anything like it. Follow #AmericanVeteranPBS on any social outlet to see what Moms are saying about the show.

If you want to jump over to the PBS Voices channel right now just click my Playlist link to see all the stories that have been released so far.

Currently Playing on American Veteran: Keep It Close “What a Stuffed Bunny Means to This Military Family”. When Yolanda Mayo was a newlywed, she deployed to Iraq for DesertShield/Desert Storm with her Marine Corps unit. Her husband sent her a stuffed bunny for Easter and the memento quickly became a source of shared joy for her and her tent mates..

You’ll have to watch this episode to find out more!
