The day after the Oscars I always make the same promises to myself.
Like, “I need to win an Oscar someday”. Do you do that too?
Also I promise to keep promoting the hard work women do in this crazy business and how much they also somehow accomplish at home too. Moms have so much pressure on them in this town and at the same time I think we are the hardest on ourselves. We’re so hard on ourselves!
We need to band together, listen, share, uplift and make great content for women everywhere. I also feel an obligation to our daughters. That’s why my MomsInMedia organization has started a new scholarship program to support young women who want to make a career in the creative arts, media and film industries.

It’s “For the kids’ dinner!” in my life LOL. That is a total Mommy Moment. Did she forget to tell Grandma to take the chicken out for the kids? Or was today the last day to turn in that field trip release form. Or that art project? We totally get it Jennifer. We’ve all been there and we’re with ya mama.

Gosh I really love it when they do this. Is there a greater honor you can bestow on your mom (or daughter!) above saying “I’ve achieved this level in my chosen field and I couldn’t have done it without this woman right here on my arm.” For all the word to see. For every captured on celluloid. Everyone is talking about my mama. That’s the coolest.

It’s 2018 people. Almost everyone watches reality TV. Nobody is perfect on TV or in real life. And this is a hater-free zone. So let’s girl-chat about this. It’s been confirmed that Teen Mom OG, Farrah Abraham did NOT chose to be present for the filming of the reunion episode for MTV. And she has moved to the West Coast, and launched a plan of reinvention. Good for her! The mom of one was graciously invited by Sir Elton John to attend his Oscars after party. She’s a mom we definitely need to interview on The Mom Show. She looks like a gooooood interview and I’m also personally curious to know how she got that hair color without damaging those gorgeous locks! But the journalist and Mom in me really wants to hear her story from behind the mic, off-camera, about her future life as an ex-Teen Mom reality star and how she’s envisioning her future here in LA for herself and her child.

This woman deserves all the Oscars handed out last night. Her bravery shined through. Her poise and beauty left me speechless. No Parent should ever experience what she has.
